Additional Information
69-71 are printed with two types of photoclichés for each value, arranged in the printing form of the postal sheet in no particular sequence. Type II stamps for the corresponding values have the following features: 5 st. - there are breaks in the vertical lines of "T" and "N" of "pennies"; 10 st. - there is a small dot in the center of the letter "O" from "stotinki" and the outer border under the ornament, which is to the left of "stotinki", is interrupted; 25 st - there is a small arch under the letters "ST" of "pennies" and the inner frame under the letters "NK" of pennies is also broken. For types I, for all three values, the images lack the specified features. Type II of all values are rarer, approximately 1:3. Of all three values, there are lighter or darker shades, as well as without serrations, without serrations on one side, without serrations on two opposite sides, pairs in between without perforation. Since the image sizes of the 10 cent stamps are smaller, the background color comes out of the image. There are reports that all three values exist without a background. From all three values, imperforate on one side, imperforate on two opposite sides, pairs (both horizontal and vertical) between imperforate and completely imperforate specimens are known. Due to the unusually large size of the printing sheets, some of the elements of the drawing on the stamps in the final vertical rows are unclear. The printed sheets measure 670x410 mm and are the largest of the postage stamps issued in the period. No whole leaves from 69-71 are known to have survived today. The celebrations on the occasion of the ascension of Prince Ferdinand I were to be held on the jubilee date of August 2, 1907 in Veliko Tarnovo. Due to the typhus epidemic that appeared in the city, they were postponed and took place on August 15 in Sofia, when the jubilee stamps were put into use. On August 23 of this year, in the presence of the prince, the first Bulgarian destroyers were launched in Varna. It is likely that the portrait of the prince in naval uniform was included in the plot of the stamps on the occasion of this event.| BC № | Nominal | MNH | Used/CTO |
