Additional Information The stamps were ordered on 20.VIII.1909, almost immediately after Bulgaria was recognized as an independent kingdom. Out of 90, about 32 (±) pieces with an inverted center (the so-called "Inverted Cavalry") are known, see fig. on the cover. All were stamped with the date stamp "Plovdiv No. 1" in the period 25 May - 7 July 1913, except for one copy with a "mute" stamp of the station and one copy with the date stamp "Gyumurjina". From 83 there are in the color of 84, from 84 there is a double frame. From 82-90 exist without serrations on one of the sides. There are marks with mirror impressions on the reverse side. Of all values, they occur with darker or lighter shades. Of all values, there are samples printed in original colors on 5x8 cm cardboard, resp. 8x5cm, with Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. hallmark. The series was launched on the day of the 50th anniversary of King Ferdinand, February 1-14, 1911, and the plots point to the connection of the independent Bulgarian kingdom, proclaimed on September 22, 1908, with the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. As well as for the progress of beautiful Bulgaria in terms of culture and industry during the reign of King Ferdinand I. The initials are placed on the stamps: "GEI" (Georgi Evstagiev Ivanov) - on 82, 83, 85, 86, 88, 89,93; "AM" (Anton Mitov) - on 84, 87, 91, 92; "YAV" (Yaroslav Veshin) - on 90. It is believed that these are the initials of the artists who painted the original views and portraits chosen for the plot of the stamps. For 85, 86 and 88, photographs appear to have been used because on the second edition of 1915 the initials "GEI" on the same subjects are missing. There is an opinion that the decorative frames of the stamps are the work of X. Tachev. On two of the sides of the postal sheets, on the millesiums, is printed in gray "Ministere des Finanses de la Bulgarie". With the same subjects 105-111, 167-168, 174 and 175. 82-88 with overprints, see 97-103 and 104.
