Additional Information
From 98 they also exist with light blue, from 99 - with gray or black, from 102 - with light green and red overprint. Of all the values, there are ones with horizontally and vertically shifted overprints (on 99-102 overprint "1912-1913" above "LIBERATION. WAR"), and also with errors in letters and numbers (on 97-98,100-103 — "1918" instead of "1913"). The overprints were made to commemorate the Balkan War of 1912-1913, called the War of Liberation, as the goal was the liberation of the lands with a Bulgarian population in Macedonia and Odrin Thrace, which were under the rule of the Ottoman Empire. The order for the overprint was made on 15.V.1913, two days before the signing of the London Peace Treaty (17.V.1913), which ended the war. However, the stamps were put into use shortly after the Allied War ended and the Bucharest Peace Treaty was signed (28.VII.1913), the consequences of which were described as the First National Disaster for Bulgaria.| BC № | Nominal | MNH | Used/CTO |
