Additional Information
158-163 were ordered on 1.VI. 1917 together with the stamps of the "II military edition", but they were received in Bulgaria only at the end of 1918, after the end of the First World War, and remained stored in the state depository for securities. Due to lack of stamps with small values, on 11.VI. 1921 158-162 were put into use, but after a protest by the government of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (Yugoslavia) on 28.VI. s. y. have been withdrawn from use. This is where the nickname of the series comes from - the "forbidden" or "confiscated". 163 was not put into postal use at all. After 1931 and the following years, some of the collected stamps were sold for collecting purposes through the post offices in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Ruse and Burgas. During storage in the warehouse, the following were damaged due to moisture: 158 - 1,000,000 pieces; 159 - 1,140,000 pieces; 160 - 1,170,000 pieces; 161 - 1,100,000 pieces; 162 - 570,000 pieces; 163 -1,090,000 pieces.| BC № | Nominal | MNH | Used/CTO |
