Of all the values there are with nom. L 10 3/4, as with the other watermark. With the same plots 279-284. The two series 273-278 and 279-284 were issued by Decree IV of the Council of Ministers dated 31.VII.1934 on the occasion of the celebrations surrounding the consecration of the Liberation Monument on Mount "St. Nicholas" (today Shipka), which took place on 26.VIII.1934. Part of the amount received from the sale of the stamps was to be granted to the War Department to defray the expenses of the construction and decoration of the monument and the chapel therein, and of the ceremonies of their dedication. In the second half of 1936, the unsold stamps amounting to BGN 46,438. are provided to the expedition of the post office at the Sofia station (Mobile Stations) for payment of the newspapers, magazines and printed works sent. Rubber is only on the back of the stamps. From the circulation of 16 pcs. were given to the Bulgarian royal family, 5 pcs. are detained in the repository for government securities, and the remaining 79 pcs. were sold out in November 1938 in P.T.T. stations Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Ruse and Burgas for collector purposes at market prices. The stamps of some of the blocks have been split, the same occurring as single stamps or pairs of different values.
