After the successful validation of a postage stamp in a block on the theme "140 years since the establishment of the Hydrographic Service of the Naval Forces", it is time to boast about what has been accomplished! As you all know, the issue was validated at 11:00 in the area of the Hydrographic Service of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria located in the "Pyasaka" military district in Varna. To my great regret, members of philatelic societies were unable to attend. On the other hand, the issue enjoyed exceptional interest from the employees and guests of the event. At 14:00 (i.e. 3 hours after validation), the stocks at the Central Post Office in Varna were sold out. An additional delivery of 200 additional items was required.As with the postal edition on the occasion of the "550th anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus", now with colleagues we have produced illustrated envelopes and maxi cards on the topic, on which a first-day stamp was placed. For the most part, they will go into the hands of members of the Varna Philatelic Society and other collectors in the region and the country.
So, as immodest as it may sound, the publication made according to my idea and implemented by Theodor Liho and the Hydrographic Service Command was, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful and successful of the year.
