Additional information:49 is printed with glossy ink (gloss), and 50 - with matte. For the overprinting of 49 was used a stamp from the "Sofia" edition of "Little Lion" (cellulose paper, called G 12%). There are stamps with a strongly vertically shifted overprint, in which the hyphen is above the number. In such cases, the marks of the extreme horizontal rows have only a hyphen, or only a number. There are also brands with an inverted overprint, as well as pairs - one brand without an overprint. |

Additional information:Of all values, darker or lighter shades are found. With the exception of 56 and 63, all other values are printed on thin paper, and from 58 on thick paper. From 53, 54 and 58 there are also without serration, from 55, 59 and 61 - with a shifted center, from 55 - with the upper left digit "3" shifted upwards, from 56 - without the upper right digit "5", from 57 - without upper digits, from 57 and 59 - without the face of Prince Ferdinand and without upper digits. Stamps with milezim "1901", "1905", "1909" or "1910" are rarer. The artist Stefan Badzhov was born on May 31, 1883 and graduated in decoration and painting in Prague in 1906, so we question his authorship of 53-64. In 1929, during a poll conducted between philatelists and artists making projects of postage stamps, 53-64 was declared a series - a standard in all indicators - both in terms of artistic design and in terms of printing performance. |
