Additional information:69-71 are printed with two types of photo clichés for each value, located in the printed form of the postal sheet without a specific sequence. Type II marks for the respective values have the following features: 5 st. - there are interruptions in the vertical lines of "T" and "N" from "stotinki"; 10 Art. - there is a small dot in the center of the letter "O" of "stotinki" and the outer frame under the ornament, which is to the left of "stotinki", is broken; 25 Art. - there is a small arc under the letters "ST" of "stotinki" and the inner frame under the letters "NK" of stotinki is also broken. For types I, all three values in the images lack the specified features. Type II of all values are rarer, approximately 1:3. All three values have lighter or darker shades, as well as no serration, no serration on one side, no serration on two opposite sides, pairs between without perforation. Since the dimensions of the image of the stamps of 10 st. are smaller, the background color goes beyond the image. There are reports that all three values exist without a background. Of all three values, unserrated on the one hand, unserrated on two opposite sides, pairs (both horizontal and vertical) between unserrated and completely unserrated specimens are known. Due to the unusually large sizes of the printed sheets, some of the elements of the drawing on the stamps of the extreme vertical rows are unclear. The printed sheets are 670x410 mm in size and are the largest of the postage stamps issued in the period. Today, there are no known preserved whole leaves of 69-71. The celebrations on the occasion of the accession of Prince Ferdinand I were to be held on the anniversary date of August 2, 1907 in Veliko Tarnovo. Due to the typhus epidemic that appeared in the city, they were postponed and held on August 15 in Sofia, and then the anniversary stamps were put into use. On August 23 of this year, in the presence of the Prince, the first Bulgarian destroyers were launched in Varna. Probably, the portrait of the prince in a naval uniform was included in the plot of the stamps on the occasion of this event. |
