Additional information:The stamps were ordered on 20.VIII.1909, almost immediately after the recognition of Bulgaria as an independent kingdom. Out of 90, about 32 (±) pieces with an inverted center (the so-called. "The Inverted Cavalry"), see ill. on the cover. All of them were stamped with the date stamp "Plovdiv No 1" in the period May 25 - July 7, 1913, except for one copy with a "dumb" stamp of the station and one copy with the date stamp "Gyumyurdzhina". Out of 83 they exist with the color of 84, out of 84 there are with a double frame. Of the 82-90, they exist without serration on one of the sides. There are brands with mirror prints on the back. Of all values, darker or lighter shades are found. Of all values, there are samples printed in original colors on cardboard with dimensions of 5x8 cm, respectively. 8x5 cm, with the trademark of Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. The series was put into use on the day of the 50th anniversary of Tsar Ferdinand February 1-14, 1911, and the plots point to the connection of the declared independent Bulgarian kingdom on September 22, 1908 with the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. As well as for the progress of beautiful Bulgaria in cultural and industrial terms during the reign of Tsar Ferdinand I. On the stamps are placed the initials: "GEI" (Georgi Evstagiev Ivanov) - on 82, 83, 85, 86, 88, 89,93; "AM" (Anton Mitov) - on 84, 87, 91, 92; "YAV" (Yaroslav Veshin) - over 90. It is believed that these are the initials of the artists who painted the original views and portraits chosen for the plot of the brands. Photographs seem to have been used for 85, 86 and 88, because on the second edition of 1915 the initials "GEI" on the same subjects are missing. There is an opinion that the decorative frames of the brands are the work of H. Tachev. On two of the sides of the postal sheets, the milesim, is printed in gray "Ministere des Finanses de la Bulgarie". With the same plots 105-111, 167-168, 174 and 175. 82-88 with overprints, see 97-103 and 104. |
