Additional information:158-163 have been ordered on 1.VI. 1917 together with the stamps from the "II Military Edition", but they were received in Bulgaria only at the end of 1918, after the end of the First World War, and remained stored in the state securities depository. Due to the lack of brands with small values, 11.VI. 1921, 158-162 were put into use, but after a protest by the government of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (Yugoslavia) on 28.VI. have been withdrawn from use. This is where the common name of the series comes from - "the forbidden" or "the confiscated". 163 has not been put into postal use at all. After 1931 and the following years, part of the collected stamps were sold for collectors purposes through the post offices in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Ruse and Burgas. During storage in the storage facility, due to moisture, the following were damaged: 158 - 1,000,000 pieces; 159 - 1,140,000 units; 160 - 1,170,000 pieces; 161 - 1,100,000 units; 162 - 570 000 pieces; 163 -1,090,000 units. |
