In 2027, the website “Philately Bulgaria - New Generation” will organize the “Most Beautiful Bulgarian Postal Issue” competition for the fourth consecutive year. The competition has already established itself as one of the most popular initiatives among Bulgarian philatelists and stamp enthusiasts. Its purpose is to recognize the most impressive Bulgarian postal issue validated in 2026, while giving collectors, philatelists, artists, and admirers of postal art the opportunity to select their favorite through a public vote.

A new feature of this year's edition is that the competition is held under the patronage of the Union of Bulgarian Philatelists, the magazine Philatelic Review, and the Varna Philatelic Society. This support is a recognition of the initiative's development over recent years and its contribution to promoting Bulgarian postage stamps, philately, and the artistic design of contemporary postal issues.

Voting to determine the Most Beautiful Bulgarian Postal Issue of 2026 will begin on January 1, 2027, and will continue through February 14, 2027, inclusive. During this period, all interested participants will be able to cast their votes for their preferred postage stamps and philatelic products validated by the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Bulgarian Posts PLC during 2026.

The artist who created the design of the issue ranked first will receive a plaque and a certificate, while the artists behind the issues placed second and third will receive certificates of merit. In this way, the competition provides well-deserved recognition to artists, designers, experts, and everyone involved in the creation of contemporary Bulgarian postal issues.

Launched in 2024, the competition quickly became an anticipated annual event. The contests for the Most Beautiful Bulgarian Postal Issue of 2023, 2024, and 2025 attracted the interest of the philatelic community and demonstrated the high artistic and thematic diversity of Bulgarian postal emissions. With each successive edition, the number of participants and votes submitted has increased, further establishing the initiative as a unique public review of achievements in Bulgarian postal art.

The organizers from “Philately Bulgaria - New Generation” invite all philatelists, collectors, and friends of Bulgarian postage stamps to participate in the voting and support their favorites. Every vote contributes to the promotion of Bulgarian philately and encourages the creation of high-quality and artistically valuable postal issues.

On February 14, 2027, it will be announced which issue has earned the recognition of the philatelic and cultural community and will be awarded the title “Most Beautiful Bulgarian Postal Issue of 2026.” Once again, the competition will provide the general public with an opportunity to appreciate the creativity and professionalism invested in the creation of Bulgarian postage stamps and philatelic products.
