ПревюThe Macao 2026 Specialized World Stamp Exhibition opened on 26 June 2026 at the prestigious Cotai Expo, part of The Venetian Macao, turning the Special Administrative Region into a focal point of international philatelic attention. This is the first specialized world stamp exhibition ever hosted in Macao, and its inauguration coincides with the centenary of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP), adding exceptional historical significance to the event.

The opening ceremony brought together leading representatives from government institutions and the philatelic sector, including senior officials from the Government of Macao, the State Post Bureau of China, and China Post Group. Their presence underscored the international prestige of the exhibition and highlighted philately’s role as a cultural bridge between nations and communities.

In his welcome address, Lao Lan Wa, Chairman of MACAO 2026 and Acting Director of the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT), expressed deep gratitude to the global philatelic community for entrusting Macao with the hosting of this major event. He noted that the exhibition aligns with the region’s strategic development as a place where Eastern and Western cultures meet, and as a growing center for international tourism and leisure.

The exhibition presents an impressive array of approximately 1,500 frames featuring rare philatelic treasures, historical documents, and unique thematic collections. Alongside the competitive exhibits, more than 40 commercial booths from various countries offer a wide selection of philatelic materials, special issues, and collectible products. The event is structured into six thematic days, each accompanied by complimentary commemorative envelopes or postcards created specifically for MACAO 2026.

The program includes a rich variety of seminars, lectures, workshops, and demonstrations, giving visitors the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and exchange experience with international experts. One of the most engaging features is the possibility to create personalized stamps and postcards, turning the visit into an interactive and memorable experience.

Particular attention is drawn to the collector’s set “A Journey through Day and Night,” issued exclusively by CTT for the exhibition, as well as a series of limited-edition products that quickly become sought-after souvenirs among collectors. The Court of Honour, the Treasure Gallery, and the exhibition of original philatelic designs from Macao further enrich the event, showcasing some of the most valuable and impressive philatelic works.

MACAO 2026 is open to the public from 26 June to 1 July, offering free admission to residents, tourists, and philatelic enthusiasts from around the world. The organizers warmly invite everyone to take part in this historic event, which not only presents philatelic masterpieces but also reinforces Macao’s position as an important international cultural center.
