Additional Information ▼
287-292 were issued by Decree II of the Council of Ministers of 27.V. 1935 (SG, issue 124/5. VI .1935) on the occasion of the holding of the V Balkan Tournament for the Balkan Cup in Sofia from 16 to 23 June 1935. The income from the sale of 25,000 sets (1, 2, 4, 7 and 14 leva) and 6,000 pieces of 50 leva should be given to the Bulgarian National Sports Federation to cover the costs of the event. The unissued stamps with low values after November 1935 were used for internal postal use in the postal service stations of Sofia, Burgas, Varna, Plovdiv and Ruse.
